Central Bureau of Investigation arrests a Registrar of Delhi Dental Council

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Registrar of Delhi Dental Council and an Advocate of Delhi Dental Council in an alleged bribery case. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has recovered property documents, bank deposit slips of about Rs 2 crore allegedly linked to Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, and companies where he was director, during searches at the residence of Delhi Dental Council registrar, who was arrested yesterday in another case, agency sources said.The CBI yesterday arrested the registrar and an advocate in an alleged bribery case of Rs 4.73 lakh (approx).

CBI has registered a case u/s 7, 8 of PC Act and 120-B of IPC on the allegations of demanding bribe from the complainant for getting him favourable order from Delhi Dental Council and also for extending help in further legal proceedings in his matter. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 4.73 Lakh from the complainant.

Searches were conducted at the office & residence of the accused persons which led to recovery of Rs.24 Lakh(approx) in cash ; half Kg Gold(approx) and also alleged documents relating to a Minister, Government of NCT, Delhi i.e. three property documents including two sale deeds of land measuring 12 Bigha 2 Bishwa & 8 Bigha 17 Bishwa at Village Karala, Delhi ; one Power of Attorney for land measuring 14 Bighas in Karala, Delhi ; One deposit slip book of a Bank containing Counter foils detailing cheque deposits of approx. Rs. 2 Crore during the year 2011 in the name of said minister & companies wherein he was serving as Director & in the name of his family members ; and 41 Cheque Books in his name , his wife’s name & in the name of a private Estate firm.
