AHMEDABAD: The class Xth results of Gujarat Board this year was 64.62% which is 0.56% on the lower side as compared to 2022. However, this year the number of students securing over 90% marks has seen a remarkable decline. This year a total of 6111 students got 90% which saw a decline of nearly the number in 2022. A total 12,090 students got 90% marks in 2022.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board on Monday declared the results for SSC. Of the 7.35 lakh regular students who appeared for the examination, only 4.756 lakh cleared their examination which was a pass out percent of 64.62%.
While of the 1.58 lakh repeaters who appeared for the examination only 17.30% cleared their examination. Girls have once again shown that they were much better than the boys. The pass out percentage of girls was 11.04% more than that of the boys. The success ratio of girls was 7062 per cent, while that of the boys was only 59.58 per cent.
According to board officials, 41,279 students failed in one subject, while 74,538 lakh students failed to clear their examination in two subjects. These students will be allowed to take the re-test which will be held later this year.
Among the districts Surat had the highest pass out percentage of 76.45% while the lowest pass out percentage was of Dahod that was 40.75%. However, this year the number of schools getting 100% results was 272 which was 294 in 2022.
