The second batch of 26 participants from various public sector enterprises started the one week capacity building programme under the aegis of SCOPE Academy of Public Sector today. Ved Prakash, Vice Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, MMTC inaugurated the programme. Rajeev Bharadwaj, Director (HR), SECI & Member of SCOPE Executive Board was the Guest of Honour.
Ved Prakash, Vice Chairman, SCOPE in his address said that setting up of the Academy is one of the major landmark initiative of SCOPE. He advised the participants to set time bound targets/goals in life and work towards achieving it with sincerity and dedication Ved Prakash emphasized to have positive thinking and positive attitude. He further advised to have good communication skills which is essential to grow further in the career.
Rajeev Bharadwaj, Director (HR), SECI in his address explained the background of setting up the SCOPE Academy of Public Sector. He said many PSEs have their own training institutes but they are organization centric. SCOPE Academy provides broad picture of public sector, governance structure, policy aspects which will help in the holistic development of the executives. He also emphasized on employee engagement which is one of the biggest challenge today in organizations.
