The Supreme Court Collegium has given the green light for the appointment of five advocates as Judges of the Calcutta High Court. The newly appointed judges are Ms. Smita Das De, Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, Md. Talay Masood Siddiqui, Krishnaraj Thaker, and Om Narayan Rai. This decision aims to strengthen the judiciary and enhance the functioning of the court.
