The Trump administration has clarified that hospitals affiliated with Harvard University, including Mass General Brigham, will not face funding cuts as part of the ongoing federal funding freeze. While the freeze applies to Harvard University’s research funding, the independent medical and research hospitals remain unaffected. The distinction between Harvard University and its affiliated hospitals was confirmed by the US Department of Education and Mass General Brigham CEO Anne Klibanski, ensuring the hospitals’ continued financial stability.
