Anish Prasad, a seasoned 2003-batch IPS officer from the Tripura cadre, has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) of the Border Security Force (BSF). Currently serving as Executive Director (Vigilance) with the Railway Board, his appointment comes on a lateral deputation basis and will continue until the end of his deputation tenure on June 21, 2026.
His leadership experience and vigilance expertise are expected to bolster the strategic operations of the BSF.
