In a significant development within the renewable energy sector, Santosh Kumar Sarangi, a 1994 batch IAS officer from the Odisha cadre, has been given additional charge as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI). Presently serving as Secretary, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, he will hold this additional post until a regular appointment is made, strengthening leadership continuity in the strategic energy sector.
