Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence PSU, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Electronics to strengthen India’s indigenous capabilities in electronics and semiconductor manufacturing. The MoU was signed on June 5, 2025, at Tata Group’s Bombay House in Mumbai by Manoj Jain, CMD of BEL, and Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO & MD of Tata Electronics. Under the agreement, both companies will collaborate on developing end-to-end semiconductor solutions, including Semiconductor Fabrication (Fab), OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), and design services. Focus areas include Microcontrollers (MCUs), Systems-on-Chip (SoCs), MMICs, and advanced processors. The partnership aims to enhance domestic manufacturing capacity through mutual knowledge sharing and deployment of best practices.
