India’s defence attache to Indonesia, Captain Shiv Kumar, revealed that the IAF suffered losses during the May 7 strikes in Pakistan and PoK due to political constraints against targeting military establishments. This followed CDS General Chauhan’s acknowledgment of initial losses. While Pakistan claimed to have downed six Indian fighters, the government is yet to quantify the losses.
