The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved several senior-level appointments at the Additional Secretary rank. Sandeep Sarkar has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Agriculture Research, while Anu P Mathai will take over as Additional Secretary, Economic Affairs. Similarly, Shantanu has been appointed as Additional Secretary in-situ, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and Pawan Kumar Sharma as Additional Secretary in-situ, Ministry of Defence.
