Shirish Chandra Murmu, Executive Director of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has been appointed as the new Deputy Governor of the central bank for a three-year term. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment, placing him in one of the most crucial leadership positions within RBI.
