In a significant administrative move, Sushil R Gaikwad, Executive Director (Milrail), Railway Board, has been appointed on deputation as the Investment Advisor to the Government of Maharashtra for a tenure of three years.
An officer of the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), Gaikwad brings with him a wealth of experience in project planning, investment strategy, and infrastructure development. His new role will focus on attracting investments, fostering economic growth, and enhancing policy implementation for Maharashtra, one of India’s leading industrial and investment hubs.
With this appointment, the state government aims to leverage Gaikwad’s expertise to strengthen Maharashtra’s investment ecosystem and accelerate its vision of becoming a global destination for business and development.
