Four IAS officers assigned new responsibilities in Assam

The Government of Assam has reshuffled key administrative positions, assigning new responsibilities to four IAS officers.
Dr. John Berchmans has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Industries and Commerce Department. Mukesh Chandra Sahu, currently ACS for Women and Child Development and Bodoland Welfare Departments, will also hold the additional charge of ACS, Transport Department.
Meanwhile, Konwar Narayan Kumar, Secretary for Higher Education and School Education, will additionally serve as Registrar, Cooperative Societies; Managing Director, RUSA; Director, Official Language Welfare; and Managing Director, Samagra Shiksha Mission.
Gyanendra Dev Tripathi has been assigned the post of Principal Secretary, Border Security and Development; Implementation of Assam Accord; and Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Departments, along with additional charge of Labour Welfare Department.
