In another major development, the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) has inducted ten new Accountant Members to its panel. The newly appointed members are Arvind Soni (CA), Rakesh Kumar Lodha (CA), Prakash (CA), Ratna Dasgupta (IRS Retd.), R. Govindarajan (IRS Retd.), Asit Kumar Mohapatra (IRS Retd.), Vijay Varma (IRS Retd.), G. M. Doss (IRS Retd.), Gopalan Gurusamy (IRS Retd.), and Gangadhar Panda (IRS Retd.).
These appointments aim to strengthen the Tribunal’s bench and expedite the disposal of pending tax appeals. With this expansion, ITAT continues its mission of delivering timely and fair justice in income tax matters, ensuring efficiency and integrity within India’s tax adjudication framework.
