In a key administrative development, five officers of the Indian Civil Accounts Service (ICAS) have been promoted to the Junior Time Scale (JTS) and appointed as Assistant Controllers of Accounts in various central ministries and departments. Bansi Dhar has been posted to the Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi, while Madan Lal joins the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. Harbhajan Singh has been assigned to the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). Additionally, Durlabh Barua has been posted to the Ministry of Earth Sciences, and Rajeev Chandra takes charge in the Ministry of Home Affairs following his promotion. The move aims to strengthen financial administration across key government departments.
