The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of six Additional Judges as Permanent Judges of the Bombay High Court. The move is aimed at reinforcing judicial administration and ensuring smoother functioning of the court.
The judges recommended for permanent appointment are Ms Justice Nivedita Prakash Mehta, Justice Prafulla Surendrakumar Khubalkar, Justice Ashwin Damodar Bhobe, Justice Rohit Wasudeo Joshi, Justice Advait Mahendra Sethna, and Justice Pravin Sheshrao Patil.
The elevation of these judges as Permanent Judges of the Bombay High Court is expected to strengthen judicial efficiency and help in the effective disposal of pending cases.
