NEW DELHI: Members of the Public Relations Society, Delhi (PRSD), along with senior media, branding, and corporate communication professionals, gathered today to felicitate Shri S. Srinivasa Rao, Chief General Manager (PR) of Power Finance Corporation (PFC), on his superannuation following an illustrious career spanning over 30 years.

The farewell get-together saw an overwhelming turnout of PR veterans and journalists who expressed their best wishes and honored Shri Rao for his exceptional contributions, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the profession. Among the prominent dignitaries present were Shri G.S. Bawa, Chairman of PR Society, Delhi; PR veterans Shri Om Prakash, Shri K M Prashanth, Smt. Rama Vijay, Shri Rajat Gupta, Shri Vipin Kharbanda, Shri J P Sharma and Shri J.P. Dhoundiyal; along with senior corporate communication leaders including Shri A.K. Singh (NHPC), Shri Gaourav Anand and Dr Akshat Chopra.

A highly respected figure in the media and PR fraternity, Shri Rao is widely recognized for his helpful nature and collaborative approach toward journalists and corporate communication professionals alike. He began his corporate journey after gaining foundational media experience with the Indian Express group in Hyderabad, an expertise that later defined his professional success in the national capital. For over a decade, he masterfully managed PFC’s media relations, press releases, and public affairs, earning a distinguished reputation across the public sector and media industries. In an official tribute, PFC acknowledged his professionalism as a vital driver of the company’s growth, noting that his strategic leadership in public relations significantly enhanced the corporation’s public visibility and strengthened stakeholder engagement over the past three decades.

Shri Rao’s immense contributions to corporate communications have also earned him stellar national recognition. He was inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) and has previously served with distinction as the Chairman of the Public Relations Society, Delhi Chapter, where he actively guided and mentored young communication professionals. As he steps into his retirement, the PR community, media professionals, and the entire PFC family expressed deep gratitude for his lasting legacy, wishing him a future filled with good health, happiness, and continued fulfillment.
