The Gujarat Government has entrusted six senior officers with additional responsibilities following vacancies created by the retirement of several officials. The move is aimed at ensuring continuity in administration and smooth functioning of key departments and institutions across the state.
Among the officers receiving additional charge, Sanjay K. Modi (2012), Executive Director of the Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institution Society, will additionally oversee the Gujarat Tribal Development Corporation in Gandhinagar. Yogesh B. Nirgude (2013), Additional Development Commissioner, has been assigned the additional responsibility of District Development Officer, Gandhinagar. Rachit Raj (2014), Director of Scheduled Caste Welfare, will also serve as Managing Director of the Gujarat Unreserved Educational and Economical Development Corporation. Similarly, Prashasti Prateek (2014), Managing Director of Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company Ltd., has been given the additional charge of Additional Rural Development Commissioner.
Further, S.D. Tabiyar, a Gujarat State Administration Service officer of Senior Scale, will hold dual responsibilities as Director of the District Rural Development Agency and District Development Officer, Dangs-Ahwa. S.P. Joshi, also from the Gujarat State Administration Service (Senior Scale), has been assigned additional charge as District Development Officer, Devbhumi Dwarka, alongside his current role as Director of the District Rural Development Agency.
