Uttar Pradesh transfers several IAS officers in major administrative reshuffle; Key changes in Revenue, Medical Education, Labour & Rural Development

The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a significant late-night bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 20 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers serving at the Secretary and Special Secretary level. The latest administrative exercise brings sweeping changes across crucial departments, including Revenue, Labour, Medical Education, Culture, State Tax, Rural Development, Urban Administration, Women & Child Development, and Forest & Environment, with the objective of strengthening governance and enhancing administrative efficiency across the state.

The reshuffle includes several high-profile postings and additional charge assignments, reflecting the state government’s continued focus on improving public service delivery and ensuring effective departmental coordination.

Key IAS Transfers in Uttar Pradesh:

Shudha Verma (IAS: UP:2010), who was serving as Secretary, Revenue Department, has been appointed as the Labour Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Sarika Mohan (IAS: UP:2006), Director General of Medical Education and Secretary, Medical Education Department, has been given the additional responsibility of Director General, Registration, Uttar Pradesh.

Neha Sharma (IAS: UP:2010) has been shifted from the post of Director General, Registration to Director General of Medical Education. She will also serve as Secretary, Medical Education Department.

Arun Kumar (IAS: UP:2012) has been transferred from the Geology and Mining Department and appointed as Mission Director, Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM).

J. Reebha (IAS: UP:2015), Special Secretary, Geology and Mining, has been assigned the additional charge of Additional Director, Geology and Mining.

Deepa Ranjan (IAS: UP:2013) has been moved from Mission Director, UPSRLM to Special Secretary, Culture Department.

Sanjay Kumar Singh-I (IAS: UP:2012) has been relieved of his duties as Special Secretary, Culture Department. He will continue as Director, Charitable Affairs, while also taking additional charge as Director, Culture.

Vishal Singh (IAS: UP:2015), currently serving as Director, Information, has been relieved of his additional responsibilities as Special Secretary, Culture.

Riya Kejriwal (IAS: UP:2017), Managing Director, Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (MVVNL), Lucknow, has been appointed Special Secretary, Child Development and Nutrition Department.

Sandeep Bhagia (IAS: UP:2018) has been transferred from the post of Additional Commissioner, State Tax (Gautam Buddh Nagar & Ghaziabad-II) to become the Managing Director of MVVNL.

Parikshit Khatana (IAS: UP:2020), Chief Development Officer (CDO), Azamgarh, has been posted as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Gautam Buddh Nagar.

Rakesh Kumar Patel (IAS: UP:2010) has been shifted from Additional Commissioner, Lucknow Division to Chief Development Officer, Azamgarh.

Renu Tiwari (IAS: UP:2012) has been relieved of her additional responsibility as Special Secretary, Nutrition, while continuing in the Women and Child Development Department.

Jag Pravesh (IAS: UP:2018) has been transferred from Municipal Commissioner, Mathura-Vrindavan to Special Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department.

Ojaswi Raj (IAS: UP:2020), previously serving as Chief Development Officer, Ballia, has been appointed Municipal Commissioner, Mathura-Vrindavan.

Alok Kumar, recently inducted into the IAS after promotion and serving as ADM, Gonda, has been posted as the new Chief Development Officer, Ballia.

Ajay Kumar Gautam, Chief Development Officer, Etawah, has been transferred as Additional Commissioner, State Tax, Ghaziabad-I.

Sanjay Kumar Singh, serving as Additional District Magistrate (Administration), has been appointed Chief Development Officer, Etawah.

Manikandan A. (IAS: UP:2017), who was awaiting posting, has been assigned the role of Additional Commissioner, Revenue Council.

Dr. Vandana Verma (IAS: UP:2013), Special Secretary, Sugar Industries & Cane Development, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Joint Managing Director, UP Sugar Mills Federation Ltd.
