IAS Pattanshetti Ravi Subash gets Dual Tourism responsibilities in Andhra Pradesh

Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has entrusted Pattanshetti Ravi Subash, IAS, with two key responsibilities in the state’s tourism administration.

The 2013-batch Andhra Pradesh cadre officer has been appointed Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) and given additional charge as Chief Executive Officer of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Authority (APTA).

Ravi Subash was earlier serving as Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC).

The latest assignment puts him at the centre of the state’s tourism administration, with responsibilities covering tourism promotion, development initiatives and the strengthening of tourism-related infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.

Ravi Subash’s Previous Administrative Assignments

The IAS officer has held several important positions during his career. His experience includes an assignment as Deputy Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Vijayawada, besides responsibilities in the Energy and Revenue Departments.

With the new tourism responsibilities, the officer is expected to contribute to the expansion of Andhra Pradesh’s tourism infrastructure, destination branding, visitor facilities and strategic tourism initiatives.

The appointment comes at a time when the state is seeking to leverage its diverse tourism assets and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as an attractive destination for travellers.
