Gujarat Government transfers 37 IPS officers in major administrative reshuffle

In a significant administrative move, the Gujarat government has transferred 37 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, assigning them new roles across various police units and departments in the state.

Among the key appointments, Shamsher Singh has been posted as Director, Civil Defence and Commandant General, Home Guards in Ahmedabad. Ashok Kumar has taken charge as Inspector General of Police (IGP), CID Intelligence, Gandhinagar, while Gagandeep Gambhir, currently serving as IGP (Administration), Gandhinagar, will additionally hold the responsibility of IGP, State Monitoring Cell.

Gautamkumar M Parmar has been appointed IGP, CID (Crime), Gandhinagar, and Raghavendra Vatsa will serve as IGP, Ahmedabad Range. Nilesh Bhikhbhai Jajadiya has been named Joint Commissioner of Police (Sector-2), Crime and Law & Order, Vadodara City. Meanwhile, Bipin Shankarrao Ahire has been assigned as IGP, Cyber Centre of Excellence, Gandhinagar.

In other postings, P L Mal has been appointed Additional Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ahmedabad, while N N Chaudhari has taken charge as IGP, Intelligence-2, Gandhinagar. A G Chauhan will serve as Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Ahmedabad City, and R V Asari has been posted as IGP, Bhavnagar Range.

Further, K N Damor has been designated IGP, CID Crime, Gandhinagar, and Mahendra Bagria will function as Additional Commissioner of Police, Sector-2, Surat City. Hiteshkumar Hansraj Josyar has been posted as DIGP, Intelligence-1, Gandhinagar, while Tarun Duggal has been assigned the role of Additional Commissioner of Police, Administration, Ahmedabad City.

Chaitanya Ravindra Mandlik has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime, Traffic & Administration), Rajkot City, and Saroj Kumari will serve as DIGP, Prison, Vadodara. Rajendrasinh Chudasama has been appointed DIGP, Junagadh Range, while R P Barot and G A Pandya have been posted as DIGP, Prison in Ahmedabad and Rajkot respectively.

Other key transfers include R T Susara as Additional Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Ahmedabad City, Sudha S Pandey as DIGP, Armed Units, Vadodara, and Sujata Mazumdar as DIGP, Armed Units, Gandhinagar.

Additionally, Dr Sudhirkumar J Desai has been appointed Additional Commissioner of Police (Sector-1 & Traffic), Vadodara City, while Makrand Govindbhai Chauhan will serve as DIG, Law & Order, Gandhinagar.

Among the remaining postings, Parixita V Rathod has been posted as IGP, Banaskantha Range, Palanpur, Vidhi Choudhary as DIGP, Panchmahal-Godhra Range, and Vishalkumar Baldevbhai Vaghela as DIGP, State Monitoring Cell, Gandhinagar, with additional charge of DIGP, Police Recruitment Board.

Leena Patil has been appointed Principal of Gujarat Police Academy, Karai, while Nirlipt Rai has taken charge as DIGP, Rajkot Range. Dipakkumar Vasudevbhai Meghani has been posted as Joint Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ahmedabad.

Further changes include Balram Meena as Additional Commissioner of Police, Sector-1, Surat City, Dr Karanraj Vaghela as Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Surat City, and S V Parmar as Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Surat City.

Meanwhile, A M Muniya has been posted as DIGP, Coastal Security, Ahmedabad, with additional charge of DIGP, Coastal Security & Intelligence, Gandhinagar, and Mayur Gulabrao Patil has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-8, Ahmedabad City.

In another development, Wabang Jamir has been transferred and kept awaiting further posting orders.
