Harvard alumni flood university with donations after Garber challenges Trump’s funding threats

Harvard University has seen a remarkable surge in donations, totalling $1.14 million within two days after University President Alan Garber’s strong response to President Trump’s proposed $2.2 billion funding cut. Over 4,000 gifts flooded in, with 77% coming from smaller donors. This outpouring of support highlights alumni backing amidst financial pressure, including threats to the university’s tax-exempt status and ability to enrol international students, as reported by The Harvard Crimson.
