HUDCO has made its highest-ever dividend payout for the fiscal year 2023-24. Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, was handed a cheque of ₹397.88 crore by Sanjay Kulshrestha, CMD of HUDCO, as the final dividend to the Government of India.
This occurred in the presence of Katikithala Srinivas, Secretary MoHUA, Kuldip Narayan, JS(HFA), Dinesh Kapila (EA), and HUDCO Directors M Nagaraj (Corporate Planning) and Daljeet Singh Khatri (Finance).
For FY 2023-24, HUDCO disbursed a total dividend of ₹830.79 crore (41.50% on equity), marking a 7.80% increase over the ₹770.73 crore dividend paid for FY 2022-23.
This year’s dividend translates to ₹4.15 per share. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, which holds a 54.27% stake, received ₹450.87 crore, while the Ministry of Rural Development, holding 20.73%, received ₹172.22 crore. Retail investors, with a 25% stake, were paid ₹207.70 crore in dividends.
