A strong earthquake struck off Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. It triggered a large tsunami. Coastal areas faced evacuation. Submerged buildings and massive water drenching were seen. The quake’s magnitude was 8.7. Tsunami waves reached up to 4 meters. Warnings issued for Japan, Hawaii, and other Pacific regions. People were asked to leave their homes. The earthquake was the strongest in decades.
