Punjab Government transfers 16 Indian Forest Service officers

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab Government has approved new postings for 16 Indian Forest Service (IFoS) officers.
As part of this reorganization, Basanta Raj Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Wildlife Warden, while Charchil Kumar assumes charge as the Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Administration & Coordination). Nidhi Srivastava has been posted as the Chief Conservator of Forests (Plains) and Mahavir Singh as the Chief Conservator of Forests (Hilly Area).

Other key appointments include Nalin Yadav as Director, Chhatbir Zoo, Mrs Geetanjali as Chief Conservator of Forests, FCA, and Vishal Chauhan as Conservator of Forests, Ferozepur Circle. The reshuffle also places several officers in crucial Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) roles across the state, including Mrs Harpreet Kaur, Monika Devi, Kaushal Kishore, Amit Chauhan, and others.

This large-scale reshuffle aims to enhance the efficiency of forest governance and wildlife conservation efforts across Punjab.
