The West Bengal government has announced new assignments for six IPS officers in a strategic police reshuffle aimed at enhancing law and order management.
Rajeev Mishra has been posted as ADG & IGP, South Bengal, while Laxmi Narayan Meena takes charge as ADG & IGP, CID. Mukesh has been appointed IGP, Intelligence Branch (IB).
Syed Waquar Raza has been named DIG, Murshidabad Range. Amarnath K will serve as SP, Jalpaiguri, and V.V. Raghuvashmi has been appointed SP, Krishnanagar Police District.
These postings are expected to strengthen the state’s policing structure and improve operational effectiveness across districts.
