The Uttar Pradesh government has promoted 13 IPS officers of the 2012 batch to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG). The promoted officers include Vijay Dhull, Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan, Ashish Tiwari, Sachindra Patel, Vipin Tada, Pratap Gopendra Yadav, Abhishek Yadav, Sankalp Sharma, Somen Verma, Yamuna Prasad, Santosh Kumar Mishra, Hemraj Meena, and Rajkaran Nayyar.
