140 IRS (Income Tax) officers promoted to Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT)

In a major promotion exercise within the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), 140 IRS-IT officers have been elevated to the prestigious rank of Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT).

The large-scale promotion to the CIT grade is expected to strengthen leadership within the Income Tax Department and enhance tax administration across the country. The official list of promoted officers has been released by the competent authority.
