Shaktikanta Das, former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has been appointed as Principal Secretary-II to the Prime Minister. A retired IAS officer from the 1980 batch of the Tamil Nadu cadre, Das brings extensive administrative and economic expertise to this key position.
