Senior IPS officer Arun Dev Gautam has been appointed as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Chhattisgarh. Prior to this appointment, he had been serving as the Acting DGP of the state.
A 1992-batch IPS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, Gautam brings extensive policing and administrative experience to the top post. His appointment as the full-time DGP is expected to provide stability and continuity in the state police leadership.
