Madhya Pradesh IPS Reshuffle: 9 Senior Police officers transferred, New IGs appointed across key Zones

Bhopal: In a major administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening the state’s policing framework, the Madhya Pradesh Government has transferred nine senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, assigning them to key leadership positions across the state.

According to the transfer orders issued on Friday night, Ruchivardhan Mishra has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of the Bhopal Rural Zone. Harinarayan Chhari Mishra has been entrusted with the role of IG (Administration) at the Police Headquarters (PHQ).

As part of the reshuffle, Chandrashekhar Solanki, previously posted with the Special Armed Force (SAF), has been named the new IG of the Narmadapuram Zone. Mithlesh Shukla, who had been handling both the Narmadapuram Zone and the additional charge of the Sagar Range, has now been officially appointed as the Inspector General of the Sagar Range.

The government has also posted Simala Prasad as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Khargone Range. Yashpal Singh Rajput, who was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Alirajpur, has been transferred as SP (Railways), Indore.

In addition, Ramji Shrivastava, Sanjay Agarwal, and Priyanka Shukla have also been assigned new responsibilities under the latest IPS transfer orders, reflecting the state’s continued efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen police leadership across Madhya Pradesh.

The latest IPS reshuffle is expected to improve operational coordination, streamline law enforcement, and reinforce governance in several strategically important districts and police zones across the state.
