The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended N. Franklin Jayakumar, currently serving as Director (Technical), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), for appointment as the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Schedule ‘B’ Central Public Sector Enterprise.
Jayakumar’s recommendation comes as part of the Centre’s ongoing process to strengthen leadership in India’s coal sector. The appointment will become effective after receiving the necessary approvals from the competent authority.
