Veteran bureaucrat Amitabh Kant has been appointed Senior Advisor to Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited. A 1980 batch retired IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, Kant is best known for his visionary leadership as CEO of NITI Aayog and Secretary, DPIIT. He played a pivotal role during India’s G20 presidency and championed the Aspirational Districts Programme.
