The Government of India has approved the inter-cadre transfers of three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers on the grounds of marriage, aligning their postings with their respective spouses for administrative convenience and family unity.

Vaishali R, a 2023 batch IAS officer, has been transferred from the Gujarat cadre to the Andhra Pradesh cadre following her marriage to IAS officer Pawar Swapnil Jagannath.

Similarly, Chhaya Singh, a 2024 batch officer, has been shifted from the Madhya Pradesh cadre to the Rajasthan cadre. Her transfer comes after her marriage to IAS officer Mohit Kasniya.

In another case, Ashish Kumar Mishra, a 2021 batch IAS officer, has been moved from the Uttarakhand cadre to Rajasthan. His transfer has been approved in view of his marriage to IAS officer Dr. Anshu Priya.

These inter-cadre transfers have been processed as per the rules governing such movements, underscoring the government’s continued adherence to policies that support the personal and professional balance of officers in the All India Services.
