Chaudhari Shivraj Singh, currently serving as General Manager at Coal India Limited, has been selected to head the Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) as its Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD).
The selection was made during a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on October 11, 2025, where 11 candidates were interviewed for the top position.
Singh’s appointment underscores the government’s focus on strengthening leadership within the coal and mining sector, driving innovation and efficiency at CMPDIL.
