Delhi IAS Reshuffle 2026: Senior Bureaucrats assigned key Administrative Responsibilities Across Departments

The Delhi Government has carried out a significant reshuffle of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, entrusting several senior officials with crucial additional responsibilities to strengthen governance and streamline departmental functioning.

Among the prominent changes, Bipul Pathak (IAS: 1992) has been entrusted with the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Women and Child Development (WCD) while continuing as Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare. Navin Kumar Chaudhary has been assigned the additional responsibility of Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) alongside his existing charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC).

Pandurang K. Pole has been appointed Secretary, Land & Building and will simultaneously oversee the responsibilities of Secretary-cum-Commissioner, Labour and Secretary, Cooperation. Jitendra Yadav, Managing Director of DTC, will additionally serve as Secretary, Information Technology (IT). Sandeep Kumar Singh has been given the extra charge of Special Secretary, Finance while continuing as Special Secretary, Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The reshuffle also assigns Sachin Rana the additional responsibilities of Special Secretary and Principal Director, Delhi Fire Services (DFS) alongside his existing role in the Home Department. D. Verma has been relieved of the additional charge of Special Secretary, Planning and Executive Director, DFC, while Pankaj Kumar has been relieved of his additional assignment as Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters).

Further administrative changes include G. Sudhakar taking on the additional role of Member Secretary, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), Suneel Anchipaka receiving the concurrent charge of Special Secretary, Tourism, and Santosh Kumar Rai being appointed Special CEO, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) with the additional responsibility of Special Secretary, Home.

In another set of appointments, M. C. Prasad has been posted as Special Secretary, Health, K. K. Lakshman becomes Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate, South West, with additional charge as Director, Panchayat, while Sanjeev Kumar takes over as Special Commissioner, Trade & Taxes. Yash Chaudhary has been entrusted with the additional charge of CPA, Ms. Patil Pranjal Lahensingh has been transferred as Special Director, Women and Child Development, and Amol Srivastava has been appointed Special Commissioner, Transport.

The latest IAS reshuffle reflects the Delhi Government’s continued focus on enhancing administrative efficiency by strategically reallocating senior bureaucrats to key governance, finance, welfare, transport, health, labour, and disaster management portfolios.
