In a significant boost to Siddharth Nagar’s cultural and social infrastructure, Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal, who holds the portfolios of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art 1000-seat Community Auditorium in the district. The upcoming facility is envisioned as a vibrant hub for artistic expression, educational events, and community gatherings.
The project is being funded under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions from major Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), including REC Limited, PFC, and NTPC. Among these, REC Limited—designated as a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power—has pledged a substantial Rs. 7.02 crore towards the initiative.
The foundation ceremony witnessed participation from top executives of REC and other contributing CPSEs, as well as enthusiastic local residents who viewed the project as a transformative step for the district. The auditorium promises to serve as a cornerstone for cultural evolution, offering a modern, inclusive space tailored for diverse community needs.
Once completed, the 1000-seater auditorium is expected to redefine public engagement in Siddharth Nagar by promoting a rich ecosystem of cultural programming, talent development, and social cohesion. The initiative marks a forward-looking investment in the district’s artistic and communal spirit.
