India has recorded a 28% increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production, strengthening the country’s energy security and domestic supply chain.
Addressing the Lok Sabha, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri stated that India continues to receive large LNG cargo shipments almost daily through diversified supply routes.
He added that the government has broadened its procurement strategy, securing energy supplies from countries including the United States, Norway, Canada, Algeria, and Russia.
According to the minister, India’s crude oil reserves remain secure and domestic LPG supply is fully protected, ensuring uninterrupted availability for households even in the event of a prolonged global conflict.
