Jitender Yadav IAS given Additional Charge as Director of Census Operations in Lakshadweep
The Central Government has approved the appointment of Jitender Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:2010), as Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) for Lakshadweep on an additional-charge basis under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The appointment will take effect from the date he assumes charge and will continue for three years or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The competent authorities have been requested to instruct Jitender Yadav to take up the additional responsibility and inform the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi.
The order also refers to the applicable joining requirements under the Central Staffing Scheme. In accordance with the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) directions communicated through the DoPT circular dated August 17, 2005, the officer is required to join the assigned post within three weeks of the appointment order. Failure to meet the deadline may result in the initiation of debarment proceedings under the scheme.
