Justice Hamarsan Singh Thangkhiew has been entrusted with the duties of the Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court during the absence of the sitting Chief Justice, who proceeds on leave from May 24 to June 9, 2025.

As a serving judge of the same court, Justice Thangkhiew’s interim leadership ensures continued judicial efficiency and stability in the region’s highest court.
