K Vijayanand, a 1992 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh. He will supersede six senior officers, including Yerra Srilakshmi (1988 batch), G. Anantha Ramu (1990 batch), and four officers from the 1991 batch: G. Sai Prasad, Ajay Jain, Sumita Dawra, and R. P. Sisodia. Vijayanand, previously associated with Nara Lokesh as Principal Secretary in the IT and Electronics Department, will assume the role from the outgoing Neerabh Kumar Prasad.
