Two women, an Israeli tourist and a homestay operator, were raped near Sanapur Lake close to Hampi, while a male tourist from Odisha was found dead after being pushed into a canal by the attackers. They were approached by three bike-borne men who first asked for petrol and later turned violent when refused money.
