Ms Kim, a 2008 batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). She was earlier serving as DIG, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). Her appointment has been made on a lateral shift basis for a combined tenure of five years, extending up to October 27, 2029.

The posting of Ms Kim comes at a critical time when CISF continues to expand its role in safeguarding key national assets, airports, and industrial undertakings. With her proven track record in police administration, she is expected to bring strong leadership to the force, enhancing its operational efficiency and security management capabilities.
