Madhya Pradesh reinforced its status as the Heart of India during the two-day Regional Tourism Conclave held at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University in Gwalior. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the immense potential of tourism and pilgrimage as drivers of prosperity, announcing that the conclave attracted investment proposals worth Rs. 3,500 crore. Among them, Letters of Allotment (LOAs) were handed over to six investors, unlocking over Rs. 60 crore in immediate investments with the promise of large-scale job creation.
Dr. Yadav also underlined the global appeal of Madhya Pradesh’s cultural and religious heritage, its thriving wildlife tourism—especially the cheetah sightings—and Gwalior’s strong musical legacy. In this spirit, he announced an allocation of Rs. 50 crore for the Raja Man Singh Tomar Music University.
The event saw major announcements, including a Rs. 1,000 crore investment proposal by industrialist Sachin Gupta. The conclave also witnessed the launch of Craftgroom, an e-commerce platform designed to promote local crafts in collaboration with Delberto. Ahead of the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2025, the conclave further strengthened the state’s position as a fast-emerging tourism and heritage hub.
