NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, has achieved a major milestone by winning a Rs. 350 crore Defence Infrastructure Project in Avadi, Chennai. The prestigious Project Management Consultancy (PMC) assignment has been awarded by the Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), a unit of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) under the Ministry of Defence.

The contract, secured through the rigorous Quality-cum-Cost Based Selection (QCBS) process, involves the design, engineering, and management of key defence infrastructure facilities. NBCC will oversee the development of the AVNL Corporate Office Complex, Ordnance Development Centre and Workshop, test track infrastructure to boost T-Series Tank overhaul capacity, and residential quarters for AVNL personnel within the HVF and AVNL estates.

Valued at Rs. 350 crore and to be completed within 36 months, the project will adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. This assignment further cements NBCC’s leadership in India’s defence and public infrastructure sectors and aligns with the Ministry of Defence’s vision for infrastructure modernization.

NBCC’s selection under the QCBS framework reflects its technical excellence, proven project delivery record, and strong performance credentials across major government and defence initiatives. With this achievement, NBCC reinforces its reputation as a trusted strategic partner in building mission-critical infrastructure for national development.
