New DFO postings in Telangana Forest Department

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has announced fresh postings of two Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers as part of a departmental reshuffle aimed at strengthening district-level forest administration.

The Telangana Government has transferred Sidharth Vikram Singh, IFS (Telangana Cadre: 2018) and appointed him as the District Forest Officer (DFO), Bhadradri Kothagudem.

Shiv Aasheesh Singh, IFS (Telangana: 2018) has been transferred from his current assignment as District Forest Officer, Mahabubnagar, and posted as the District Forest Officer, Rangareddy.

In another transfer order, Bhukya Lavanya, IFS (Telangana: 2017) has been appointed as the District Forest Officer, Mahabubabad. She was earlier serving as District Forest Officer for Hanamkonda and Jangaon. Lavanya replaces Vishal Battula, IFS (Telangana: 2020) in the new assignment.

The latest transfers are part of the Telangana Government’s routine administrative exercise to improve operational efficiency and strengthen forest conservation efforts across the state.

The newly posted officers are expected to oversee forest protection, biodiversity conservation, afforestation initiatives, wildlife management, and the implementation of various forestry schemes within their respective districts.
