Ms. P. Hemalatha, Development Commissioner of Cochin Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and a 2000-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Spices Board.
Her appointment will be effective till January 23, 2026, or until further orders. The Spices Board, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, plays a key role in promoting India’s spice exports and supporting farmers and exporters.
