Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power, has paid a final dividend of Rs. 574.35 crore for the fiscal year 2024-25 to the Government of India. With this, the total dividend for FY 2024-25, including interim payments, reaches Rs. 4,297.40 crore. The cheque was handed over to Union Power Minister Manohar Lal by R.K. Tyagi, CMD of POWERGRID, in a formal ceremony attended by POWERGRID’s Directors.
As of August 31, 2025, POWERGRID is operating 286 substations and over 1,80,864 ckm of transmission lines. The corporation continues to maintain an average transmission system availability of over 99.84% through the adoption of cutting-edge technology and automation.
