New Delhi,: The Public Relations Society Delhi (PRSD), organized a webinar on “Navigating Miscommunication: Strategies for Effective Crisis Communication,” featuring Sri Srijan Pal Singh, noted author, scientist, public speaker, social entrepreneur, and CEO of the Kalam Centre, who is widely respected for his work in ethical leadership, youth development and values-driven communication.

Addressing PR and Media professionals, he shared practical insights on managing crisis communication in today’s AI-driven, high-speed media environment. Referring to recent communication crises faced by educational institutions, he stressed the importance of balancing speed with accuracy, and technology with human values.

“In today’s fast-paced world, we must harness AI tools for rapid verification and fact-checking while anchoring every response in unwavering honesty, strategic clarity, empathy and ownership. By prioritising integrity over speed, embracing sentiment analysis and learning from misfires with transparency, organizations can transform crises into opportunities for building lasting trust,” Singh said.

The webinar covered critical themes, including AI-enabled fact-checking, new-age media dynamics, real-time crisis response through social media engagement, and post-crisis recovery through transparency and accountability. Practical frameworks emphasized proactive narrative management, sentiment analysis and the central role of empathy in communication.

Dr. Sarvesh Tiwari, Chairman, PRSI Delhi Chapter, introduced the speaker and highlighted his unique blend of scientific insight, leadership experience and policy engagement. Mr. G.S. Bawa, Secretary, PRSD, underscored the relevance of the webinar series in equipping PR professionals and media students with real-world crisis management skills. Mr. Rahul Kashyap, Group Executive Director, PR Professionals, summarized the key takeaways.

The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Vipin Kharbanda. The webinar served as a significant knowledge-sharing platform for communication professionals and aspiring media practitioners.
