Chandigarh: The Punjab Government has ordered the transfer/posting of two senior officers with immediate effect on administrative grounds, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel on September 7, 2026.
Key Transfers:
- Pallavi Mishra, IAS (2023 batch), presently serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Amritsar, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Amritsar, replacing Surinder Singh, PCS.
- Surinder Singh, PCS (2012 batch), presently Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), Amritsar, has been placed at the disposal of the Department of Local Government for appointment as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, replacing Sandeep Rishi, IAS.
The officers have been directed to join their new assignments immediately. The order has been issued with the approval of the Election Commission of India.
